Ok I did and learned every thing I could learn possible and hoping and wishing some one might appear out of no where and help me with the download the book from the net library and the other available resources.
I did enjoy face book, my space RSS Feed, Pod casting. I am only not clear about digital book. Rest it was fun and good learning though I have to do it without much help, some time a kind spirit helped me on different occasions.

Last but not the least

Well I don't believe that I completed the Learning 2.0 and yes I learned quite a lot. I have already used couple of the features, but I still need little help in understanding about how to download a book from the net library and then to my i pod.
Hello is there anyone available to help me so that I can help my patrons to get benefited by this as well.

Digit Books

I was excited about reaching to the last lesson of learning 2.0, specially about digit books which I thought would be great not only for myself but to my patrons who have access to the computer and would also be benefited by this program. So keeping that in mind I started following the instruction for this I had to enter my library card number and I was on "Net Library" web page. Then I was required to create an account to have an access to the e books. I tried to search some books by title could not find second time Linda told me to look for a book called shack by author and also tried by title and was unable to find that book finally I decided to do any book and wanted to downloaded it to my computer it didn't let me do that saying Firefox would not allow me and also that I need a special software downloaded to my computer in order to listen any books. That is strange it means someone has to show or down load that special software to my computer, which I would be asking someone from the computer service and then I will be using it for myself and for my patrons. Right now its the dead end. I have not given up on this I will be trying to to start listening the books no matter how long it takes.

you tube

you tube is a video sharing website on which users can upload and share video. On my face book account i have been seeing my sister and other friends sharing different kind of video clips. Specially my sister from UK has been sharing the clips of all her favorite songs, Urdu and English and recently some of Michael Jackson's. And I was always wondering how the heck she is doing this and from where is she getting all the stuff to place it on face book. And today I learned it too. I created my account on You Tube and searched for a song "Jai Ho" which is very popular after the Oscar award and have tried to share it with her hope she will see it. It is a brilliant concept and we can also use it for the library through creating a little act and convey the message to millions of patrons, in fact I saw couple of clips from tone def and see how Johnson did it which is great clip, and the role played by Shawn and Matt rock . It is very simple you can take a video even using your own cell phone and post it on you tube. i will probably try this one time on my face book.

now it is podcasting time

Well again i was using this module. When I bought iPod for the first time, I started looking at iTune store and was trying to upload something available for free. I found out about yoga for free and some music from radio so I start uploading all the new podcast released of yoga to my iTune and from there it synchronized to my iPod. Now, after going through Learning 2.0 lesson title podcasting I learned more about it, that- it is a method of distribution of multimedia files over the internet for playback on a mobile device that could be mp3 player or iPod. We can use it in the library by downloading books to internet and then upload it to our Mp3 player or ipod. Like I am doing that with the yoga from I tune store and then synchronizing it with my iPod and when ever I had some spare time, I watch and do yoga through my iPod. So in short to my understanding, using I tune podcast will allow you to go to the website that has a podcast or the series of media files that you may subscribe to your desktop or computer and then synchronize it to your mobile device. (POD it is Publishing on Demand).

I knew Wiki

I had been using wiki without unaware of its importance and what exactly it is. For me it was the source of information or kind of dictionary and now after having the tour of its website I understood the whole concept of Wiki or Wikipedia. Since anyone can write, edit and save, but not every one I guess because it is monitored closely, which I found out after watching the video and a brief speech by Jimmy Wales about the creation of Wikipedia. It is never finishing on line encyclopedia.
I am using Wikipedia for my patron's question and but I still search the other sites to make it sure if Wikipedia is providing the right information

What a Flickr

Another learning experience, well I am learning something but not the whole truth. First of all I was little confused how am I going to keep track of all the accounts and the passwords I am creating for this purpose, but one kind spirit showed me the reference sheet which is for the purpose to keep track of all my newly created accounts and their passwords. Thank you kind spirit if you are reading my blogs. Here I started exploring the flickr. During going through this journey, I realize that I need to post a photo and share it with other people, but sorry I don't like sharing my photos with strangers, only my close friends and family has the the rights to see it.
To explore it further I created a new account with yahoo for flickr but presently I don't have any photo to upload, not supposed to have personal stuff on the office computer. Through the flickr I somehow the other came across "Piknik" and through piknik I opened my face book account and sent invitation to few of my face book friends to join flickr/piknik. I tried to play around with one of my photo on the face book like editing it or try to do some changes but I dont know if I was successfull. Since it is not my field to upload the picture on library flickr but may be if I ever get a chance to attend a library related senior events I would definitely try it on flckr with the permission. Its a cool stuff but need to do some experiments to understand it completly.

wow I did it

Yes I did subscribe to Daily Herald and for that I thank you so much Linda. You showed me how to do that and now I am going to find some Urdu newspaper and subscribe that too. I am excited now probably I will learn some more.

Disheartened with RSS FEEDS

I am really very confused with this RSS FEEDS. As far as I understood it is kind of soft ware which is also called feed reader, it is a way to subscribe to one website and keep your self updated by getting all your favorite new or blogs which will come just by one click one place. To understand it more, I signed into g mail and went into Google reader. I read some news shared by other people. But i am not clear at all since I wanted to subscribe to Daily Herald, I could not and there is no one available to explain, since every one is very busy and I wonder if I will be ever able to complete my "Learning 2.0" ever. sorry!!!

not excited about my space

I wrote my blog two times before and didn't know how to post it, one time I tried to post it but after when I wanted to view it, it was not there, so I started writing again and asked Michele to help me and show me, she copied to paste it at a proper place and when she wanted to paste it was no more there. Now this is my third time to give it a try and if I remember all my thoughts and what I wanted to post. Actually I started session three last week but I was very busy and could not go through the whole session just read social networking and later tried to sign up my space but for some reason it didn't let me but coming up with some error. But i got my self familiar with the my space and today I was able to open an account with my space, i am not very excited about my space but I already have an account with Face book, I don't know everything about it accept how to find a friend or send a message i recently learned to upload a picture from my mobile phone, and Friday at the bookmobile Roundup at Glenwood-lynwood i took couple of pictures and upload it on the face book though its not very clear but at least I tried and did it. Please I need some feed back to be on the right track, am I doing ok if not I would appreciate your help. Michele is great help but I don't want to bother her with little things, she is already busy with lots of other duties. thank you again. Oh one more thing pretty soon you will see me in Igby's costume, GOD help me hope I wont passout.

Week 2 - Blogs

I am trying to learn about blogs and for that reason I had a tour of blogs and read other people's blogs. Trying hard to learn all about learning 2.0. Please let me know by posting a comment if I am doing right.

week two blogging

Ok guys this is my first time doing blogging and I am not sure if i am doing right. When I was going through the first session, I liked the seven habbits and keeping all those in mind, determination of achieving my goals and reach till the end and will try to be active participant.
